FAREWELL TO RETIRING TEACHERS AND OUTGOING STUDENTS

 A farewell to retiring teachers and outgoing students is a heartfelt occasion that honors their contributions and journeys. It celebrates the dedication and service of retiring teachers, expressing gratitude for their guidance and impact on generations of learners. At the same time, it bids a warm goodbye to graduating students, wishing them success as they step into new phases of life. The event typically includes emotional speeches, songs, cultural performances, and the sharing of memories, creating a nostalgic and meaningful atmosphere filled with appreciation, joy, and best wishes.

The farewell ceremony for retiring teachers and outgoing students of Ramavilasom Training College, Valakom, Kollam, was held on 25th April 2025 at 10:00 AM in Valsalamma Memorial Hall. The event began with a prayer by the College Choir, followed by a welcome speech by Ms. Megha B Syam and a presidential address by Dr. Rani S, Principal of RVTC. Felicitations were offered by dignitaries including Shri. G. Gopalakrishnan Nair, Adv. Shyam Kumar, Smt. Manjukumari P M, Shri. Ajay Krishnan M R, and Chairperson Ms. Aneesha K. Raju. The ceremony featured honoring retiring teachers, blessing outgoing students, and an oath-taking session. Reply speeches from retiring teachers and students added emotional depth to the occasion. Ms. Anjana R, the Vice-Chairperson, delivered the vote of thanks, and the event concluded with a lunch break followed by cultural programs and speeches from outgoing students.

  The field trip to Kanyakumari was an enriching and memorable experience for all the students, offering a perfect blend of education and exploration. Known as the southernmost tip of mainland India, Kanyakumari captivated us with its stunning natural beauty, cultural significance, and historical landmarks. We visited iconic sites such as the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar Statue, and the confluence of the three seas—Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea, and Indian Ocean. The trip provided valuable insights into geography, history, and local traditions, while also strengthening the bond among students through shared experiences. It was not just a journey of learning but also one of inspiration and discovery.

ENGLISH ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION

  English Association Inauguration Ceremony @RVTC, Valakom was held on 16th October. The English Association Inauguration Ceremony at our college was a vibrant and intellectually enriching event that marked the beginning of a new academic year for the Department of English. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome and the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the pursuit of knowledge. The Principal delivered an inspiring presidential address, followed by the inaugural speech the logo presentation was done by her, after the formal inaugural session there held an interactive game session by our English department students  .
