 Community Living Day From RVTC the teacher trainers Visited GANDHIBHAVAN INTERNATIONAL TRUST on 17-06-2025.Gandhibhavan International Trust, founded in 2002–2005 by philanthropist Dr. Punalur Somarajan in Pathanapuram (Kollam, Kerala), is a secular charitable NGO dedicated to caring for more than 1,200 destitute individuals spanning infants, children, the disabled, the elderly, pregnant women, and those undergoing de-addiction and palliative care . The Trust operates a wide network of facilities—including daycare centers, a children’s home, a special school for cerebral palsy and autism, separate shelters for men and women, beds for the bedridden elderly, de-addiction and women’s palliative care centers—alongside legal aid clinics, rehabilitation for released prisoners, skill-development programs, and mobile medical services . Recognized by government bodies (including 12A, 80G, FCRA, ISO 9001‑2015), and honored with the national Vayoshreshtha Samman in 2019 for senior citizen services, it has earned a reputation as “Asia’s largest joint family” focused on promoting dignity, inclusivity, and community welfare. The day was filled with lots of emotions and joy inside.

FIELD TRIP

  The field trip to Kanyakumari was an enriching and memorable experience for all the students, offering a perfect blend of education and exploration. Known as the southernmost tip of mainland India, Kanyakumari captivated us with its stunning natural beauty, cultural significance, and historical landmarks. We visited iconic sites such as the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar Statue, and the confluence of the three seas—Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea, and Indian Ocean. The trip provided valuable insights into geography, history, and local traditions, while also strengthening the bond among students through shared experiences. It was not just a journey of learning but also one of inspiration and discovery.

ENGLISH ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION

  English Association Inauguration Ceremony @RVTC, Valakom was held on 16th October. The English Association Inauguration Ceremony at our college was a vibrant and intellectually enriching event that marked the beginning of a new academic year for the Department of English. The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome and the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the pursuit of knowledge. The Principal delivered an inspiring presidential address, followed by the inaugural speech the logo presentation was done by her, after the formal inaugural session there held an interactive game session by our English department students  .
