Fifth Weak of Teaching Practice

The fifth week of my teaching practice at St. Mary’s HSS, Kizhakkekkara was a meaningful and enriching experience. During this week, I handled my allotted classes with greater confidence and clarity. I was able to manage the classroom effectively and maintain a positive teacher–student relationship.
I focused on using student-friendly methods such as questioning, examples, and activity-based learning to ensure better understanding of the lessons. Students actively participated in discussions, which made the teaching–learning process more interactive and lively.
I also received valuable feedback from my supervising teacher, which helped me improve my teaching strategies, voice modulation, and time management. Overall, the fifth week helped me grow professionally and strengthened my skills as a prospective teacher.

In the tenth week of my teaching practice, we conducted the diagnostic test to assess the learning levels and understanding of students. This helped in identifying their strengths as well as the areas that needed more attention. Along with academic activities, the week was also vibrant as the school organized the youth festival.   The Valedictory function of the College Union and Arts Club❤️, titled Valedictory 2K25, was organized by Enentus at Ramavilasom Training College, Valakom, Kollam, on April 24, 2025, at the Valsalamma Memorial Hall.A valedictory function is a formal closing ceremony held to mark the end of an event, program, or academic session. It serves as a moment of reflection and celebration, where achievements are acknowledged, experiences are shared, and participants are appreciated. The function typically includes speeches by dignitaries, feedback from attendees, certificate distribution, and cultural performances. It provides an opportunity to express gratitude, build lasting memories, and inspire continued growth and success beyond the event or program.

Fourth Week of Teaching Practice

This week marked the continuation of my teaching practice, and I noticed a growing sense of confidence in both my classroom management and lesson delivery. By now, I had developed a better rapport with my students, which made lessons more interactive and engaging.      I prepared lesson plans with more emphasis on activity-based learning and student participation. Incorporated visual aids, group activities, and short quizzes to check understanding.Paid attention to pacing so that I could complete lessons within the allotted time without rushing.               The fourth week reinforced the importance of preparation, adaptability, and building a friendly learning environment. I feel more in control of the classroom and more connected to my students, which motivates me to keep improving in the coming weeks.
